Door Repair

As you can see, this door has been badly abused. There's a big dent over here. There's a ding right in here and a whole bunch of little dings over here. Now this is a metal door and a lot of people who have a metal door that's been abused think the only way to take care of it is to buy a new metal door. We've got a less expensive and very easy way for you to take care of these problems. The first step is to start sanding. Now the compound we're gonna be using is a two-component automobile body filler called Bondo. And the second part is a hardener and we'll just squeeze a little bit out of this. Wanna mix it up real good. You wanna be sure you work it into the dents and also feather it out about an inch beyond where you sanded here. And, give it about 15 minutes. Well our compound has hardened. Now we're gonna sand it off with a finer sandpaper. Be sure you wear a mask because you don't wanna breath this stuff. Now our next thing we need to do is to put a rust preventive primer over all the bare spots where the metal is showing. And we're using a spray, aerosol spray, because it's a lot easier and it doesn't leave any brush marks. Well our projects are finished and I think you'll agree you'll never be able to find these bad places, particularly when we get a coat of paint on this baby. The beauty about this is, that is cost us under 30 bucks. Now think how much it would have cost to buy two new doors - a bunch.
