Calvin Bennett Pleads Not Guilty To Murder Charges

He was captured after being seen on America`s Most Wanted and now Calvin Bennett has answered to charges he killed an elderly Ark-La-Tex couple.
Calvin Bennett pleaded not guilty to two counts of Capital murder Wednesday afternoon.
He`s accused in the deaths of Pierce and Mary O`Dell of Nashville, Arkansas, back in October.
After Bennett entered his plea, his attorney ordered that a mental evaluation be performed on him.
This means all court proceedings stop until the evaluation results make it into Bennett`s file.
His attorney also ordered a gag order be placed on those directly involved with the case to protect Calvin`s image. The order will also help minimize publicity before the trial.
The prosecutor had no problem with that motion.
If convicted Bennett could get the death penalty or life in prison without the possiblity of parole.
