New Sheriff Taking Over In Miller County

There`s a new Sheriff in Miller County, Arkansas. Linda Rambo was sworn in Monday morning at the County Courthouse. Rambo beat Toby Giles in a runoff after former Sheriff H.L. Phillips retired. Rambo retired from the Arkansas State Police in 2006 after being a trooper for more than 20-years. Rambo is the first women ever elected Sheriff in Miller County. Sheriff Rambo says she`s already working to make changes. "The average citizen will see that it doesn`t take four or five deputies to answer one call or traffic stop." Other elected officials were also sworn in, including the County`s Quorum Court and a new Justice of the Peace.
