Updated: January 7, 2009
The Shreveport city council last night approved the return of the public safety committee. The new committee will look into police misconduct and also work to bridge the gap between the fire, police departments and citizens of Shreveport. This is not the first time the city council approves a committee like this one. Council members feel it will help them know more about what fire and police need to protect citizens. Tthe committee will be made up of a representative from the mayor`s administration, one from the police department, one from the fire department and three city council members.
