Updated: January 7, 2009
Investigators are working to determine what caused a fire that destroyed a home in Keithville, Friday night. It happened around 7:30 in 11000 block of Sparks Davis Road. Firefighters worked for nearly three hours to control the blaze. They think it started in the living room or kitchen area of the residence. No one was home when the fire started. The owner, Floyd Patton thinks he might have left an electric blanket on that was on a couch in the living room. Now his family has nothing. "What the fire didn`t get, the smoke, the water, everything is gone, his furniture, he has the clothes on his back ...There is nothing left, " said Pam Waters, Patton`s sister. Patton is staying with his parents who live nearby, until he can figure out what is next. If you would like to help his family call 560-0274.
