Easter Seals Telethon Raises Thousands For Charity

The phones were ringing off the hook in Texarkana Saturday all for a good cause.
Each year, KTAL Newschannel 6 hosts the Easter Seals Telethon and without missing a beat, this year`s show raised thousands at the temple memorial rehabilitation center, for local children in need.
Some of the funds raised go to therapies like speech, aqua therapy and even a way for children to ride horses, as KTAL`s Rick Boone said at the telethon, "it`s a way to make them feel alive again."
Christus Saint Michael Health Systems, E-Z mart, and Outback steakhouse were just a few of this year`s sponsors.
The grand total for Saturday`s endeavors is $125,230.
