"Pray And Lay Your Guns To Rest"

It was the first of many gatherings to come. A festival and picnic to remember the innocent victims of gun violence who have died in Shreveport. "Pray And Lay Your Guns To Rest " is a vision of Toni Myles-Johnson. Her 19-year-old daughter, Alicia, was accidently hit during a drive-by on Pines Road last July. Saturday at Ford Park, Myles shared her plea with others. It was a festival filled with food, fun and games but was also an outreach. " If one person turns a gun in today, than we have accomplished something, " said Myles. Alicia is just one of Toni`s loved ones killed by gun violence. Her brother and sister are also victims.
