Downtown Keeping Mounted Patrol Busy

Shreveport Police were very busy downtown Friday patroling, and even making arrests, all to keep those out and about safe. Police are investigating an armed robbery. It happened just before noon. They say a man was walking down Louisiana by the old Jefferson Hotel when two men jumped out of some bushes with a gun and demanded cash. The elderly man didn`t have any cash but handed over his cell phone before the suspects ran away. Police say he was a little shaken by the incident and they wan`t to reminder everyone to be safe. "Stay away from the areas where people don`t normally go, " said Officer Laura Sorrells. Police do have one of those suspects in custody. They are still looking for another.
