Shreveport Doctor Pleads Guilty To Health Care Fraud

A Shreveport Doctor pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to charges of drug distribution and health care fraud. 59-year-old Dr. James Thomas Hill has agreed to surrender his medical license as part of his plea agreement. Testimony at Thursday`s hearing revealed hill billed an insurance group for treatment of a female patient, when he was actually treating her husband. Hill now faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prision.
