Arkansas' Governor Announces Intent To Grant Pardons

(Little Rock, AR) Governor Mike Beebe plans to grant nine pardons. Another 45 clemency requests were denied and 42 had no action taken upon them. The nine applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole-and-probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences.

Governor Beebe intends to grant pardons to the following people:
 Edward Alexander (Jacksonville): Theft of Property
Darren Branch (Farmington): Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Bobbie Evans (Hindsville): Manufacture of Controlled Substance, Marijuana
Sherman Ferguson (Pine Bluff): Theft of Property, Burglary
Richard George (Fouke): Theft of Property
James Loy (Houston): Hot Check Violations Nowlin Roaten III (Benton): Theft of Property
Henry Valentine, Jr. (West Memphis): Possession of Cocaine
Billy Wright (Center Ridge): Defrauding a Secured Creditor
