Rock Star to Perform Charity Concert for Police Support Group

(SPD)- A benefit concert performed by Aaron Lewis, lead singer of the rock group Staind, will be held Wednesday night with all proceeds going to Supporters of the Shield police support group. SOS helps officers and their families who are in need because of illness or other hardship. As part of its efforts, an autograghed New Orleans Saints jersey signed by Reggie Bush will be raffled off during the concert. Tickets are $2 each and will be sold at the door. Money raised by the rafffle of the jersey goes to the widow of Officer Adam Wilson, who died in August while on duty. The concert begins at 9:00 p.m. at Pheonix Underground, located at 600 Market Street downtown. A $5 or more donation will be collected at the door. Anyone donating $20 or more will be given a VIP pass for special seating at the concert. Credit cards will be accepted, and free valet parking will be available.
