Annual "Operation Santa" Program Kicks Off In Shreveport

It`s the season for giving and the Shreveport Police Department, Fire Department and Bossier Parish Sheriff`s Office are all leading by example! The 22nd annual "Operation Santa Claus" kicked off Monday. The event featured the big man himself, Santa! He was able to prep yound boys and girls for the big day and share alittle cookies and punch. Operation Santa Clause is run by local authorities. They sign-up children in need to receive toys.

Six members of EXPLO Systems management team, including the company's president and secretary-treasurer were taken into custody without incident by Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies Tuesday afternoon. The arrests were in connection with the Oct. 15, 2012 bunker explosion at Camp Minden that was felt as far away as Arkansas.
