Class Act: KaKayla Golden, Minden High School

KaKayla Golden spends alot of time practicing the alto saxophone for the Minden High School Band of Pride. But she is also the senior class president, president of National Honor Society and class valedictorian.

She has thought about becoming a professional dancer.
"I participated in the talent show last year and my group, G3, we won one of the categories" she says.

Golden credits family members for her success. "Making my mother proud because she worked very hard in keeping me grounded and keeping me in my studies every day that keeps me going."

She hopes to attend LSU or Southern after graduation.
