Recent storms damaged many homes across the Arklatex. However, some Haughton residents tell NBC 6 News there is a silver lining to the dark clouds. Flood waters moved Sylvania from parts of Lake Bistineau in Haughton away from homes and boat launches. Local duck hunters and business owners tell NBC 6 News it's a great sign.

"It's not solved the problems by any means," said Kim Gaspard, Haughton resident. "It's relieved the problem some. Maybe this bought a little time for us."
