Each turkey day the spirit of Thanksgiving is alive at Shreveport`s Providence House. The residential development center for homeless families with children offers not only shelter but also emotional support. During the holiday season, the non-profit is always in need of a helping hand.
"Thank goodness for all the donations that people have given I can decorate our room and our room was pretty for them, comfortable and back like what they are used to be," admitted Candes Underhill, Providence House Resident.
"We are thankful for our clothes and thankful for the food we`ve got and all the stuff that`s here," commented 8 year old, Logan Kelley.
About 70% of all dollar donations to the providence house comes from the community. On average, Providence House helps 88 families a year.
