Parents, teachers, fire trucks and students helped celebrate a major accomplishment for Queen City High School students. Sounds of victory filled the campus as the Bulldog Band piled into the parking lot.

"It's really cool. It's nice to know people support us and what we do and how much our family loves us" says drum major Ali Brown after holding the trophy high for the crowd to see.

The 2-A school sounded off against more than 200 other schools in the competition that happens every other year. It is a back to back win for the Bulldogs.

"Half the band this is their first experience and to win two in a row it's just incredible and they were just living the moment" says Band Director Chris Brannan who has been at Queen City for eight years.

"It's really hard for a band to pull that off again, and we did it and it's a good feeling" says Brown.

A feeling they hope will be repeated in 2011. "The community here supports it so I definitely think we'll have a shot to go back in a couple years and do it again" says Brannan.

The band practices for two hours a day. About 100 student makeup the award winning band, a third of Queen City High School.
