Shelters Provide New Life

The Mother Stewart House on Sprague Street in Shreveport isn`t the most beautiful place on the outside. It`s what happens on the inside that should be appreciated by many. The house helps those less fortunate to get back on their feet by providing food, shelter, and work experience. Those who live in the home also set goals and eventually leave the house with the right attitude towards life. This year the house is celebrating Thanksgiving like any other. And many of those living at the shelter say this is only a pit-stop to where they really want to be.
