It was a chance for some inmates at a local prison to give back to the community.
The annual Crafts and Arts fair was held at David Wade Correctional Center in Claiborne Parish.
Inmates were able to sell leather goods and wood work to the public. They make the items in a hobby shop they are required to spend time in. The money made at the sell is put into a fund so prisoners can by supplies to continue their work.
"It is real exciting, plus it encourages me and they purchase things that we make, it lets us know that we are doing a good job," said Inmate, Charles Alexander.
The inmates made more than 1,500 dollars this weekend.
