Updated: October 28, 2009
As a precaution sandbags will be made available starting tomorrow morning to Bossier residents in anticipation of flooding which may result from heavy rainfall that’s forecast over the next two days. Bossier City and Bossier Parish residents can pick up sandbags beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday morning at one of three locations:  In Bossier City at the Bossier City Public Service Complex, 3223 Old Shed Road (just east of Tinsley Park)  In the town of Benton at the Benton Public Works Building, 410 Mayfield Street in Benton  In the town of Haughton at the new fire station on East McKinley Street The Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness recommends that only residents who have experienced flooding problems in the past utilize the sandbags. The sandbag operations will remain in affect until further notice.
