Registration is currently underway for children ages 8 to 12 to participate in the Caddo Sheriffs Office "First Gun Course."

Locals recount past tornadoes

The recent tornado coverage is bringing up memories of past twisters in our area.  Bossier Parish was hit by multiple tornadoes in 2009.

Just last Thursday, Waskom and Greenwood were hit by an EF-1 tornado.

A Bossier Parish man recalls the tornado which touched down near Swan Lake Road in 1978.  A man who survived a tornado in Benton in 1999 also shared his story.
