Health professionals in Texarkana are only offering the H1N1 vaccine to pregnant women. Limited doses of the vaccine recently arrived to the area. Pregnant women are considered most at risk for contracting the deadly disease. Not every mother-to-be is willing to be vaccinated. Some feel it's too risky. Others say not enough is known about the side effects of the vaccine. Doctors insist the vaccine is safe. Dr. D'Andra Bingham of Christus St. Michael says not getting vaccinated leaves pregnant women open to various illnesses related to H1N1. Bingham says the H1N1 vaccine is manufactured just like the regular flu vaccine.
