Bus Driver Suspended For Wearing Pink Tie

(Springfield, IL) -- An Illinois bus driver was punished when he tried to do his part to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The "State Journal-Register" reports transit officials in Springfield suspended Bill Jones for one day without pay for wearing a pink tie to work last Friday. The man claims he wore the tie as part of a campaign to remind women to get annual mammograms.
