Bossier City Principal Retires

Tim Thompson announced his retirement Friday, October 2, 2009. He met with Bossier Parish Schools' superintendent Friday morning and announced his retirement, which was effective immediately.

Thompson's retirement came exactly two weeks after he was arrested and charged with DWI, open container, littering, and speeding.

Thompson spoke exclusively to NBC 6 News and said he made a stupid mistake that has changed he and his family's lives.

Stockwell Place Elementary School will be lead by the assistant principal until an interim is hired.
