Superintendent Gary VanDeaver cancelled all classes for the rest of the week after attendance dropped to an all-time low.  This is due to dozens of students and teachers sickened by flu-like symptoms and other illnesses.

VanDeaver says the district will take this time to sanitize and disinfect all surfaces that students come in contact with.  Educators hope the time at home will allow everyone to recover and return to class healthy.

The district will get a waiver from the state and use two weather days to make up the lost time.  Classes are expected to resume on Monday, October 5th.
