Police Hope Surveillance Video Will Help Solve Armed Robbery

Shreveport Police aren`t any closer to finding the two suspects wanted for robbing a Dollar General store last week. It happened at the Shreve City shopping center in the 1200 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, last monday afternoon. Now detectives are releasing the surveillance video hoping to generate some new leads. The video shows two masked men walking in through the back door. They force employees and several customers into the back office. That`s when an employee is forced to open the safe. Then the suspects take off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Detectives are hoping some one will recognize the men on the tape. "People are going to recognize how family members and friends hold themselves... The way they walk.. thier movements. Anyone who knows these individuals will automatically know who they are by those traits." said Detective Mike McConnell. McConnell says good quality surveillance video can often help solve these types of crimes. "Video doesn`t lie.Suspects lie. But video doesn`t lie. Just by you being here and airing these types of crimes on the news hopefully we`ll get a tip from it." said McConnell. If you have any information regarding this crime please call Shreveport Police.
