Downtown Building Deemed "Unsafe"

By: Jenna Zibton
Updated: September 21, 2009
A building in downtown Shreveport has been deemed structurally unsafe by city engineers. The roof fell in Saturday night at the old Humpfrees building off of Texas street in Shreveport's Red River District.

Engineers are expected to put out a report Monday.

The privately owned building may have to be torn down but the owners are still being located. Right now access to that part of downtown is barricaded off for safety.
