Accidental Shooting At Barksdale Under Investigation

It happened around 7:30 am this morning. Two airmen assigned to protecting the base were changing shifts, one of them was shot by mistake. It happened in hanger three. A military ambulance took the injured airmen to Christus Schumpert hospital where he was treated. Names of those involved in the accident are not being released right now. We do know injuries were considered minor and the airmen taken to the hospital was let go. We also know those in the security forces squadron carry weapons. The base tells us each of them has their own. Officials are still investigating how this happened.
