(New Orleans) -- The price of fuel continues its downward trend.
Triple-A says the average for self-serve regular in Louisiana fell nearly a penny overnight to $2.41 per gallon.
Thats almost a nickel cheaper than a week ago.
The highest average in the state in Lafayette at just under $2.41, while the lowest is in Baton Rouge and Shreveport at $2.38 per gallon.
