The injuries happened as Nolan was being pulled behind a pick up truck on his skateboard.  He sustained severe head trauma causing his brain to swell.  Nolan was lifeflighted to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock where he remains in critical condition. Nolan's father, Donald Nolan says doctors are not sure if his son will survive.

Nevada County Sheriff Danny Martin told NBC 6 the accident remains under investigation.  So far no charges have been filed against the pick up truck's driver.

The family has set up a help fund at Summit Bank.  Contributions can be made to the "Michael Nolan Love Fund" at any Summit Bank location.
