AM South Bank Branch Robbed

Shreveport Police are looking for an individual who robbed a man at gun point as he existed a bank Monday afternoon. Shortly after noon today the victim left the Am South bank in the 5800 block of Hearne Ave. a Black male wearing long blue jean shorts and a blue T-shirt approached the victim with a large caliber handgun and demanded his Am South Bank bag getting away with an unknown amount of money. After the victim handed over the bag the suspect ran into the wooded area north of the bank. Officers spotted an individual fitting the description given to police by the victim crossing Hearne Ave going towards the Super One Parking Lot. Police Officers chased the individual from that location to the 2800 block of Lakehurst where they lost sight of him. A K-9 officer was called to the scene and searched the area, but was unable to find the suspect.
