Opening day of The State Fair of Louisiana was a scream. Big kids, little kids and adults made sure to take advantage of the good old fashion fun. Jamie Deville admits her children want to see and do everything.
"They jumped on the first thing they saw, and they are having a blast, she is running from ride to ride to ride to try to get on everything," explained Jamie Deville.
Then there is the fair food, full of sugar and spice, and everything nice.
"Pizza."
"Turkey leg."
"Pizza on a stick chicken on a stick, shrimp on a stick," commented Chris Giordano.
For Chris Giordano the centennial celebration means more than just the rides and the games. It`s a family tradition.
"Here it is, we wish you could be here to celebrate our 100 years and we wish you could be here," explained Giordano.
Before his death Sam Giordano booked all the vendors for this year`s extravaganza and made sure the fair was going to be bigger and better than ever. He did a good job there is something for everyone like the Great American Frontier Show.
"At that show you will find mountain lions, bears, long horns, buffalo, horses and ox," said Giordano.
"Duck races, all the western stuff, all kind of new things," added Shylo the Clown.
