Calm, cool, and collected, a killer makes a chilling confession to a 911 operator in Columbus, Ohio.

Edward Offord called 911 after killing his girlfriend in his home, burning it down, and then setting her home on fire early Monday.

He told the dispatcher what he'd done, that he was armed, and where to find him.

Edward Offord: "Hey Columbus, I set two houses on fire tonight and shot my girlfriend in the back of the head."
Edward Offord: "I know the police and fire are already on the scene there. My house, also, I put a bunch of explosives and stuff on the stove and I set it on fire, so.."
911 Dispatcher: "You set your own house on fire?"
Edward Offord: "Yeah, her body's there."
911 Dispatcher: "At your house?"
Edward Offord: "Yeah".
911 Dispatcher: "But you did this somewhere else?
Edward Offord: "Well, no, her body's there and I burned my house and then I went to her house and torched it too."
911 Dispatcher: "And you shot her in the head?"
Edward Offord: "I did, yeah, she's dead."

Offord was dead when investigators found him, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
