Community Pays Final Respects To Local Marine

A Marine native to Shreveport was laid to rest Sunday afternoon. 20-year-old, Lance Corporal John Edward Hale died last Friday in the Anbar Province of Iraq. A roadside bomb exploded near his patrol. Friends and family gathered to pay their final respects. Hale was buried with full military honors at Forest Park Cemetery West. Hale joined the Marine Corps nearly a year ago. He was a 2005 graduate of Huntington High School and the captain of the Raider football team.

Police arrest suspect in stabbing

An argument between two brothers ends with a stabbing in the cedar grove neighborhood.

it happened shortly after 11 this morning at the corner of 73rd and southern avenue in shreveport.

police say 26 year old edward bouya was stabbed in the chest by his 16 year old brother.

bouya was taken to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries..

his brother is charged with aggravated battery... His name is being with held because he is a minor..
