The Northwest Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested a man Wednesday in connection with an Internet sex crime. Task force members arrested 25-year-old Jeffrey R. Wilhite,of Bossier City for soliciting sex on the Internet from a task force officer posing as a 14-year-old girl. The task force was able to identify Wilhite during an Internet exchange with an undercover agent and obtained criminal arrest warrants charging him with one count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor and a one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Wilhite surrendered by turning himself over to task force members at the Bossier City Marshal`s Office. He was booked into the Bossier City Jail and then transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Jail. Bond was set at $25,000 for each charge for a total of $50,000. The Northwest Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is a multi-agency unit comprised of members of the Bossier City Police Deparment, Shreveport Police Department, Bossier City Marshal`s Office, Bossier Parish Sheriff`s Office, Caddo Parish Sheriff`s Office, Webster Parish Sheriff`s Office, Louisiana State Police, United States Marshal`s Office, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Louisiana Attorney General`s Office. The task force was established earlier this year with the assistance of the Louisiana Attorney General`s High Tech Crime Unit and conducts its base of operations out of the Bossier City Marshal`s Office under the supervision of Bossier City Marshal Johnny Wyatt.
