Rescue crews with Shreveport`s Fire Department had to break open a car door following a crash Tuesday morning.
It happened at West 70th street and Wallace.
According to the fire department, 2 people were transported to local hospitals, one at Highland Medical and the other to LSU. No word on their conditions.
Meantime , 3 people are injured and another dead after a morning crash on Highway 71. The accident happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
According to Louisiana State Troopers, a tractor trailer rear-ended a car making a left turn onto Caplis-Sligo Road, sending that car into the path of another car.
70 year-old Frank Dickey of Bossier City wasn`t wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and four-month old granddaughter were taken to LSU with non-life threating injuries. The driver and passenger in the other car went to Willis Knighton Bossier. They were treated and released.The driver of the truck wasn`t injured.
So far no citations have been issued. The accident is still under investigation
