Governor Mike Beebe In Texarkana

By: Shelli Briery
Updated: July 18, 2007
Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe made his way to Texarkana today to talk about a new health insurance program offered through the state. Arkansas Health Net is a low cost health insurance plan for small business employees who cant afford or havent been offered health coverage through their employer. State and federal contributions help offset the costs for employers, which means smaller co-pays for employees. "This isnt for everybody. It is not a magic wand that solves the health care accessibility for the whole world. It is another tool. It is an attempt to reward the people who work everyday and often times feel left out," says Governor Beebe. If you work at a small business, or own one, and would like information on Heath Net, call 1-800-540-7566.
