Texarkana Mayor Shows Support for Proposed Millage Tax

A special public meeting was held in Texarkana Thursday night on a proposed mill-age tax that would help update Arkansas side schools.
At the meeting, Arkansas-side Mayor Horace Shipp voiced his support for the proposal, which was drawn up by the school board.
The school district says the money is needed to improve the district and keep it competitive with others.
the issue will be decided in a special election September 19th.
