State Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Shyne Candidacy

The Louisiana Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that Joe Shyne has the right to run for the Shreveport City Council District F seat. The decision followed a challenge to Shyne`s pardon for a 1994 guilty plea to taking a $1500 bribe. His challengers claimed he needed a Presidential pardon, but now he`s clear to run. Also on the ballot in the race for District F, incumbent James Green, Alice Horton, Steve Norman, and Marvin Williams. Watch KTAL decision night on September 20th for a winner.
