Army reserve soldiers of the 40-13-th Garrison Support Unit have returned from Iraq. Saturday at Bossier Parish Community College they were honored in a ceremony with a new "Soldier Recognition Program." The program was recently enacted by congress and signed into law by President Bush. It states that all army reserve soldiers who serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom will receive the award.
Soldiers returning from Iraq will receive an encased american flag, a specially designed commemorative coin, a lapel pin set for the soldier and spouse and a "Welcome Home Warrior-Citizen flag.
