Man Charged After Deadly Shooting In Bossier City

Bossier City police have arrested a man after he shot and killed his brother during an argument Monday night. Officers were called to the 800 block of Butler Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. and found 33-year-ol Kenneth D. Lloyd, lying in front of his home with a gunshot wound. Personnel with the Bossier City Fire Department transported him to LSU Hospital in Shreveport where he was pronounced dead. Police arrested the man`s brother, 30-year-old Jackie Lloyd after taking him into custody at the scene. Lloyd was booked into the Bossier City Jail on a charge of manslaughter. The men were at home as part of a family gathering when the two began to argue. According to witnesses, Jackie Lloyed attempted to leave in his car when Kenneth Lloyd threw a small metal stepladder at the car causing the rear window to shatter. Jackie Lloyd then produced a handgun and fired a single gunshot that struck his brother in the chest. This is the first homicide in Bossier City this year.
