Labor Day Boat Safety

IUt`s the last hurrah for several boat owners hear in shreveport and the surrounding area. Cross lake is tradittionally a hot spot for labor day baoters and funseekers. Speaking with the boat patrol they told us that this weekend has been one of the sfest ever with no major incidents to be reported. Everyone has been following the rules and having a safe and fun time on the lake. The cross lake boat patrol does stress the importance of being prepared on the lake. If your heading make sure to bring life vests for everyone on the boat and make sure if you have children that the vest is fitted for them and not an adult. The police also say to have twenty feet of rope in case you need a tow or someone does, and to bring a long an air horn incase you are in distress and need attention.
