One Person Wounded In Accidental Shooting

One person is injured following an afternoon shooting. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of Milam Street at the "Take a Bag Grocery Market. Authorities say the owners son was stocking a store shelf when the products bumped into a loaded shotgun stored underneath. The gun went off striking a relative nearby in the leg. The victim taken to LSU Medical Center for treatment. No word on the condition. The investigation showed that the shotgun and a 357 handgun were under the shelf. The shotgun returned as a stolen item.
