Springridge is known to be a quaint and quiet South Caddo Parish neighborhood. Nothing happens here at least until Tuesday morning. "I had a couple of concrete pots thrown out off the mailbox and into the street, and I had a boat for sale and a propeller was stolen off of and a wrench was stolen off of,” explained James Provance. James Provance was surprised to find out that vandals had targeted Timber Ridge Road. Brick mailboxes were completely destroyed, yard statues were knocked down and items were taken from garages, but the truly shocking report. "A rabbit that had his head cut off in the area,” admitted Cpl. William Lunsford, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. Most residents have lived in the area for years and admit this is the first time anything like this has happened and now some people are evaluating their home protection. "If someone is willing to come on your property and come into your garage with you at home that is certainly a concern. I hope they find out who did it,” said Carl Reed. A debit card taken from an unlocked car has been swiped at least twice by the thieves. Thieves Corporal Lunsford wants to catch up with. "A neighbor may have possibly seen something but I am trying to track that neighbor down right now,” commented Cpl. Lunsford. As for Provance he is going to be more aware of who is hanging around the neighborhood. "We have a neighborhood watch but at 2, 3, 4 o'clock in the morning not too many people watching.
