City to Cut Jobs

Some Shreveport city departments are laying off workers. Shreveports finance department is eliminating nine jobs for next year. The city faces an $8 million budget shortfall for 2009. The finance director said the cuts are in all divisions of the department. Seniority and evaluations will determine who stays or goes.
