Updated: January 7, 2009
Longview police are looking for the suspects responsible for hitting a 4-year-old then fleeing the scene. The hit and run happened Saturday just before midnight in the 1300 block of East Marshall Avenue. Officers say 21-year-old Cain Santiago, a witness, went to help the child out of the street, when another vehicle struck them both. The child was airlifted to a hospital in Dallas. Santiago was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center by Longview EMS with non-incapacitating injuries. The vehicle that fled the scene is silver in color, but that is all the information police currently have. Anyone with information concerning the accident or identity of the driver is asked to contact the Longview Police Department Traffic Division.
