Hurricane Evacuee Sex Offenders Will Not be Housed at Fairgrounds

Hurricane evacuees who are sex offenders will have to find another place for shelter than the one designated in mid-August. Friday, officials at the Shreveport Fairgrounds told KTAL that, the Department of Homeland Security has decided not to house sex offenders on the state fairgrounds, they could instead be housed in Rapides Parish. Several officials filed complaints after learning where the offenders would be sheltered.
