School Consolidation Proposal

Its a topic that seems to come up every year... and once again Caddo Parish School Board Members are discussing the possibility of consolidating several schools in the Allendale area.
A board appointed committee suggests consolidating Central Elementary and Ingersoll. And making J.S. Clark Middle the direct feeder school for Booker T. Washington High. Right now, half of the kids who graduate from J.S. Clark are split between Booker T. and Fair Park. The consolidation plan hopes to use that strategy to off-set dwindling enrollment at B-T-W.
Its important to note that those changes will not be voted on tonight. The committee is simply presenting their findings and the school board will vote on whether or not to make those changes at a later date.
