With help from the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office, New Jersey authorities may have what they need to solve a cold case murder that happened in the Garden State in 2006. Evelyn Barnes and Brenda Ates were arrested in Sibley Tuesday, for obstruction of justice. Back in 2006 authorities questioned the two on the whereabouts of family member Edward Ates. Ates' daughter was married to a millionaire pharmaceutical executive before their marrigae ended in a bitter divorce. After the two separated her ex husband, 40-year-old Paul Duncsak was killed. Authorities believe Edward Ates is the prime suspect. According to the New York Post, Edward Ates was angry with Duncsak after he refused to lend him money for his struggling business. Ates was arrested for the murder in Florida earlier this week. Now he and his other familiy members await extradition orders that could send them all back to New Jersey.
