Some local law enforcement officers are reaching out to the community, and working to bridge a gap that is sometimes caused by fear or intimidation. But Saturday afternoon, police and community came together for communication, fun and a little competition. A group of teens went head to head with Shreveport Police officers on the basketball court for the second annual Lakeside Community basketball game. Officers hope that the young players will see that they are just "normal people." And hope that the game will strenghten their relationship with the community as well.
