Fire Forces Plant Evacuation

A small fire forced an evacuation at the Shreveport BASF plant in the 8800 block of Line Avenue Wednesday. Investigators think static electricity caused a spark that sounded off fire alarms. Firefighters called it a flash fire. The fire quickly put itself out. No one was injured. BASF reported no damage.
